  Reading other reviews here I feel that maybe I stayed in a different place. I have just visited this park for the May bank holiday weekend, and admittedly did stay in one of the more luxurious lodges as opposed to the original chalet that I booked. The lodge was of the highest standard, and probably not very old (The Evron). This was opposite the play area, which was occupied regularly by the children staying on the site, as well as my own 3 year old who thoroughly enjoyed himself. My family also played football on the grassed area opposite our lodge, with no one telling us otherwise, and I witnessed plenty of bikes and scooters being ridden by the younger visitors. And people flying kites. Kerry the manager (and not the owner, I might add) was always pleasant, and polite. She provided us with a tour of our lodge on arrival, and was always available if we needed to speak to her – to the point of if she saw me she would check before going out, if I needed her for anything. Never once did I feel unsafe and I didn’t miss the fact that the onsite facilities/pub was not currently open as there are plenty of amenities just a short drive in either direction. The manager also explained that the site was going to be moving forward with bringing in more lodges as this is now what the public wanted, rather than the smaller chalets. I would definitely visit again and have recommended to family and friends.
